Histoire
Cap Rocat is a masterpiece of adaptive reuse, transforming a 19th-century military fortress into one of the Mediterranean's most unique hotels. Built between 1898 and 1903 to defend the Bay of Palma, the fortress was decommissioned in 1960 and lay abandoned for decades. Spanish architect Antonio Obrador spent 10 years meticulously restoring the complex, preserving original features like ammunition stores, watchtowers, and underground tunnels while adding contemporary luxury. It opened as a hotel in 2010.
